thanks for dropping by. traveling alone appeals to some folks, repels others and works really well for the rest. i like traveling alone for a lot of reasons, and yes, one does need courage to follow those pursuits. but would doing something that doesnt require courage be worth while?

: )
Thank you for your blog. I always learn something meaningful when I read one of your articles or interviews. Keep up the great work.
This is a terrific, valuable site. Thank you for your commitment to bringing voices to the fore that are getting shamefully overlooked in the “travel writing” world. And thank you for helping me reconsider how I approach both travel and the way I write about it.
Best wishes, and shout if you ever get down to New Orleans.
All the good songs,
Nick Fox
Thank you! So glad this all resonated with you. Feel free to leave a comment on anything you had thoughts or questions on.
Thanks so much for the follow! What an amazing page! LOVE.
Thanks for this blog, Bani! I found it at a time when I have been looking for ways to help explain to others in the specialty coffee industry how their visits to farms and producing countries, and they way they share these on social media, reenforce their privilege and perpetuate stereotypes. I’d love to work with you on creating training for baristas and coffee roasters before they travel so that they have these issues in mind and hopefully avoid the classic mistakes of privilege, appropriation and stereotyping.
Word, my e-mail address is above. And just wanna reiterate that privilege isn’t a ‘mistake’ it’s just something people have and need to acknowledge.
Very excited to have found your space!
Really insightful articles! Can’t wait for more.
Yay!
Loved your piece in Bitch mag….we publish feminist entrepreneur mag….always looking for contributors…www.liisbeth.com.
We are new…less than a year old
greetings! i saw the article online about Ovarian Psycos and the critiques are exactly on point. The transphobic language and our overall very undeveloped analysis around sex and gender has really pushed us to be self critical and more intentional, educating ourselves to really think about the impact and the changes we need to make. I would love to speak with you further, if you’re interested. Thanks!
Hey Xela, thanks for reaching out! I really admire you and your work. If you wanna keep talking, feel free to hit me up at heyitsbani@gmail.com. Abrazos.
